What you will do:

PGIM Real Estate’s Originations team engages in all aspects of the loan origination process. As an Originator, you would be directly responsible for sourcing and originating commercial real estate debt investments for our various investors with a focus on Core Plus loans on transitional assets. The expectation is that this person will assume direct originations responsibilities upon joining. We seek demonstrated experience successfully originating and negotiating commercial real estate loans as evidenced by a strong track record of closed loans over the past several years.

What you can expect:

  • Responsible for sourcing (directly and through partnering internally) and originating commercial real estate debt investments across the United States for PGIM’s investors.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the loan origination process, including analysis, underwriting, debt structuring, pricing strategy, presentations to senior management, due diligence review, transaction negotiation and closing.
  • Developing relationships with prospective borrowers and intermediaries while maintaining and building enduring relationships with existing clients across PGIM’s platform.
  • Responsible for managing and developing a team of analysts and associates.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial real estate lending
  • Substantial knowledge of the transitional bridge lending space.
  • Substantial knowledge of the markets in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
  • Existing borrower and broker relationships in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
  • Familiarity with all major property types (multifamily, industrial, retail, office, self-storage).
  • A credit mindset and the ability to review, structure and underwrite loans to mitigate risks corresponding to the needs of PGIM’s investors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team.
  • Management experience.

What will set you apart:

  • MBA from a top program strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Argus strongly preferred.

Note: Prudential is required by state-specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $215,000 to $230,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
